How much deposit can they ask me for?
For a main residence, the legal deposit is one month's rent and, as an additional guarantee, at most two more. For shops and warehouses, the legal deposit is two months' rent.
Who pays the agency?
For a main residence, since the 2023 housing law the agency fees are paid by the landlord, not the tenant.
Is there rental assistance?
Yes: for example, the youth rental bonus and the Generalitat Valenciana grants. Ask Alma or check the official call.
